DDNS
To configure the Dynamic DNS settings of the device, navigate to:
- Services
- Dynamic DNS
The DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) function allows you to remotely access the router using a domain name instead of a dynamically changing IP address. This ensures that remote access is not affected by IP address changes.
Supported Services
If your DNS service provider can be selected under Service Provider, you can configure it as shown below:

| Parameter | Description | Default Value |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | On / Off | Off |
| Effective Interface | lan / wan_wired / wan_4g | wan_wired |
| Service Provider | DDNS server address | ddns.oray.com |
| Hostname | Enter the hostname provided by the DDNS server | mypersonaldomain.dyndns.org |
| Username | Enter the username provided by the DDNS server | myusername |
| Password | Enter the password provided by the DDNS server | mypassword |
| IP Source | Network / Interface / URL | Interface |
| Interface | eth0.2 / eth1 | eth0.2 |
| Check for changed IP every/unit | Interval for detecting IP address changes. Since domain-to-IP mapping may change frequently, lower values result in more frequent checks. | 10 min |
| Force update every/unit | Time interval for forced updates | 72 h |
Custom Services
If your DNS service provider is not listed under Service Provider, select Custom and configure it as shown below:

In this example, the ddns.oray.com service is used.
- Hostname: mypersonaldomain.ddns.oray.com
- Username: myusername
- Password: mypassword
| Parameter | Description | Default Value |
|---|---|---|
| Enable | On / Off | Off |
| Effective Interface | lan / wan_wired / wan_4g | wan_wired |
| Service Provider | Custom | --- |
| Custom update-URL | DDNS server address. Enter it in the format provided by your DDNS server: http://username:password@ddns.oray.com/ph/update?hostname=hostname | Example: http://myusername:mypassword@ddns.oray.com/ph/update?hostname=mypersonaldomain.ddns.oray.com |
| Hostname | Enter the hostname provided by the DDNS server | Example: mypersonaldomain.ddns.oray.com |
| Username | Enter the username provided by the DDNS server | Example: myusername |
| Password | Enter the password provided by the DDNS server | Example: mypassword |
| IP Source | Network / Interface / URL | Interface |
| Interface | eth0.2 / eth1 | eth0.2 |
| Check for changed IP every/unit | Interval for detecting IP address changes. Since domain-to-IP mapping may change frequently, lower values result in more frequent detection. | 10 min |
| Force update every/unit | Time interval for forced updates | 72 h |
- After configuring all parameters, do not forget to reboot the device for the settings to take effect.
- Dynamic domain names will work even if the router is behind another subnet.
- DDNS combined with port forwarding enables remote access to devices within the router’s subnet.
- A separate public IP address must be assigned to the router’s network for this function to work.
- You can add multiple DDNS domain names to this router.
