Thanks to its design for easy assembly and installation, it can be quickly integrated into IoT applications. In addition to fast assembly and installation, the device can remain connected and ready for use due to its automatic reconnection support even in the event of a temporary disconnection.

4G and 2G GSM Communication

The EdgePro LTE8421 can support wireless communication with data transfer speeds of up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink with its LTE Cat 1 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications. Additionally, it can utilize 2G or 4G networks depending on the application area in industrial environments.

Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus RTU Supported Input/Output Unit

The EdgePro LTE8421 can provide wireless communication between industrial equipment thanks to its embedded Input/Output units that support Modbus protocols and can be used as a remote input/output unit with cellular communication.

Automatic Data Collection

The EdgePro LTE8421 can collect data from other EdgePro LTE8421 devices, PLCs, and cellular-connected Modbus sensors at intervals defined by the user. Optionally, it can transmit this data to third-party software using the MQTT protocol.

Modbus Master & Slave Support

The EdgePro LTE8421 can collect data from various devices thanks to its Modbus Master feature and can also be used as a remote Input/Output unit with Modbus Slave support.

IEC62056-21 Mod C Support (Optional)

The EdgePro LTE8421 can be used for smart meter readings thanks to its IEC62056-21 Mod C support provided over RS232. It can store the values read from electricity meters in Modbus registers and transmit this data to third-party software using the MQTT protocol.

Simplified Rule Engine Support

The EdgePro LTE8421 can automatically collect data from user-defined devices and perform basic mathematical operations on this data. The results of these operations can be written to the device itself or to other EdgePro LTE8421 devices. This feature allows for the activation of a digital output based on a digital input from a different location or facilitates data transfer to an HMI panel located far from the PLC.
