Before You Start

Please read this before you start using the device! Following these steps will allow you to use the device more securely. How to make the settings is explained in detail in the rest of the document.

User Password

When you log into the device, you must first change the user password.

Firewall Rules

In the menu under Firewall > Traffic Rules, add rules so that only allowed IP addresses can access the device! Set it to block ping and requests from all other devices. For example, allow TCP, UDP, and ICMP requests coming to the device from the specified IP address over WAN, and reject all requests from other IPs.

Corporate APN Usage

If you are leaving a device that works with a static IP accessible via the standard APN in your system, you must take security precautions. Otherwise, the devices become vulnerable to attacks. Using a Corporate APN not only increases your security but also simplifies system management. It is especially recommended to prefer Corporate APN for corporate and critical infrastructures. If a Corporate APN cannot be used due to cost or infrastructure reasons, activating the existing Firewall feature of the devices will at least provide some level of protection. However, for complete protection, using a Corporate APN is especially important for critical facilities (such as Factories, Drinking Water, and Wastewater Treatment Plants).
